Husband is sick enough to stay home today. Poor bubby camped overnight with the scouts on Saturday and froze half to death. This did not help the cold he was getting. But what an awesome dad, huh? So self sacrificey.

We have been insanely busy. None of our decorations are up. No cards are ready to be sent. I'm stressing. So much so that I woke up every hour last night in a panic about flying to Disney in two months. Really, self? You can't you start freaking a little closer to February? I've got too much to get done to start losing my shit this soon. Boo, worried brain, boo! Maybe I should Xanax myself to sleep at night.

And deep breath in through the nose and sigh it out through the mouth.
Repeat ten times and make yourself a cup of tea.

Breathing calms me. Tea gives me the jitters.

I don't much like tea. It just seemed a better option to hard liquor at 6:30am.

Are you better today? I hope fings is picking up for you.

I am better, thanks. Woke up at 1 last night too anxious to sleep, so I got up and got stuff done. After a while I was calmer and could snooze worry free. Imma do that again tonight if it happens. Of course, I'm kind of mushy brained today, but that's nothing new. :)

Skip the Xanax and just have a good stiff drink to settle your nerves. Hope your hubby feels better!

Hrmmm... Mischief suggested tension tamer tea to me once and I got all relaxed. Unfortunately, she drank some last night was kind of wired. After that, she found out it has catnip in it. Might be worth a shot, though. There is also extra sleepy time tea. Might help.

I hope he's better soon too. When he's sick, he's out for the count.

Tea pumps me up, too. Like a giant cuppa coffee.

I'll agree on the stiff drink instead of the Xanax. It will be more fun. :)

Hope your hubby feels better. Camping in December? Those scouts (and your hubby) are very brave!

If it makes you feel better, I haven't written any cards yet and I've missed all the international posting dates too. :::sighs::: I have completed my Christmas shopping (so, bonus point there). Although everything remains unwrapped. (Minus bonus point).

Drinking is more fun. :)

Stupid Scouts. Always testing your mettle.

I didn't even get to work towards any of my Christmas projects today either. Spent hours at the vet, at doctors, argh! I don't have time for anyone/thing to get sick.
